From the Earth to Us: Discovering the Origins of Everyday Things

Join Nessy and her dog Riley at a summer camp where they learn where the raw materials come from to create the things we use everyday. Vehicles, buildings, technology, beauty products, and so many everyday items wouldn't exist without metals and minerals from mining, and oil and natural gas.

Beautifully illustrated by Canada's reclamation, preservation, and conservation artist Shannon Carla King, the book provides a fun way to learn about natural resource development and why it's so important to our everyday lives.

"Great book. Every child in Canada should have access to this one way or another at some point so they realize and can appreciate what role oil and gas plays in their every day lives...well done Tanya Richens! Should be required early grade school reading." - Terry J. Winnitoy, Co-founder of Energy Now
